We said goodbye to our faithful and loving companion, Comet today He lived a great life, but unfortunately lost his battle to cancer this morning....... He was almost 14 years old....
I love this picture of Comet and Daddy in the truck...... it was one of his favorite places to be, beside his daddy going for a ride....
our hearts are sad with grief, we will miss him dearly.....
No matter what anyone said or did, Comet was ALWAYS a mamma's boy!

I, too, will miss him and have had more than a few tears today. He was a faithful doggie. I'll remember lots, but I think my favorite story will be one when Miss Kiota was just a few weeks old. She and her mommy and daddy went to New York for a few days. I have been Nana for the 4-leggeds in the family for many years now, so I stayed with Comet and Quervo while the family was away. Comet was so very upset that Kiota was not home. He kept going to her room to look for her and then would come out to look at me with a really bewildered and troubled look on his face. He didn't actually calm down until Kiota finally got home. I suppose he was glad Mommy and Daddy were home, too. But Kiota was the main concern interest for him.
I love you, Comet. You'll be missed in Nana's ole heart, too.
It's the hardest thing in the world to have to say good bye to our furry friends. They make us laugh and steal our hearts.
Comet was a gentleman. Know in your hearts that the love he gave to you is still with you. Just makes me so sad.
